Coloured and rich decorated copperengraving of Loket region in the measure 1: 167.000.In the upper corner are views on Loket,Karlovy Vary and Ostrov upon Ohře /from the left to the right/.In the low frame is a panoramatic view on Karlovy Vary and the map of city center.On the right part are notes about town history and index of the villages.In relatively extensive legend Zörner offers several types of residences and many economic informations.He showes the journey direction and distance of the important locations along the roads in german miles/1mile - cca 7.42 km/.For example " nach Zwickau noch 3M " means to Zwickau 3miles more,"nach Prag 11 M" means to Prague 11 miles more,"Amberg 2M" are 2miles more and so on.A.F.Zörner,the famous Saxon cartographer measured distances on all saxon roads and he had merit in designation on all postal roads by mile,hour and half-hour pillars.The map was published in Amsterdam 1715.In 1732 Matthäus Seutter,very famous german editor/1678-1757/,published the same map in Augsburg.
