The oldest map of South America.This extremely rare copperengraving was published once only in twovolumed atlas Speculum Orbis Terrarum /Antverp 1593/The oceans,surrounding the continent ,are full of flying fishes and fantastic animals.On the continent the Indians with bows and arrows are fighting with white invadors.On the other place Indians are baking human meat.In the low part we can see strange animals,like from the unknown world.I recommend .this very interesting spectacle.
